On this model you need to remove the instrument cluster & swap a screw from the original position to a alternate position in the cluster rear to reset the light

Hmmm bit different to this model
Allow plenty of time if you haven't done it before.
From memory.

Remove drivers side scuff plate from door opening.
Remove kick panel
Remove lower dash panel(under steering wheel). Disconnect instrument dimmer plug and bonnet pull as it comes out.
Remove audio surround panel ,remove ash tray to access screw
Remove instrument cluster surround panel, tight fit past steering wheel.
Remove instrument panel, disconnect plugs at top back as it comes out. Very tight fit past steering wheel
Shift timing belt screw to other hole.

And as they say in the classics:-
"Reverse the procedure" to put it all back

Mate on my 100ser I believe you just turn the key to ignition then off then on to some sequence and that turns the light off , maybe yours might be the same as they are both Toyota's ??

What a shame Don as this Idea sounds much easier ,I suppose you need some sort of an edge when your paying the extra $$$$ LOL!!!

It takes longer to turn the light off than it takes to change the belt. :-)
