fitting cb to forester

just got myself a gme 3200 which I am going to fit into the dash under the cd player. I would like it to be powered via the ingnition....any ideas on where to connect? At the moment I am thinking of connecting to the red and black wires that go to the cig lighter any thoughts?? 2007 forester

Thats exactly where I connected it to my Outback when I had it, be shure to retain the inline fuse when you do it as the lighter fuse is too high amps for the radio..

I cant remeber what I had for dinner last night, and you asked me what I did 6-7 years ago, Geeezzzz. LOL
Yes I do remember Brian, I used double male spade teminals (available from Jaycar and the like) fitted to the Cig lighter and and its earth. So it's just a matter of pluging the radio wires onto them with matching female terminals. Easy then to take in & out if need be.
