Hi there viewers, does anyone out there know who is the manufacturer of the genuine toyota shockies?
If for instance they are Monroe what is their equivalent unbadged Toyota name?
Thanks.

Most Australian shocks are made by Monroe, some painted yellow and sold for heaps more, but the genuine Toyota are made by Tokico in Japan. I just went under the house and looked at my originals from my 2005TD.

i just fitted an ARB oldman emu steering damper to my 100 series

paid $135 which is only about 15 more than tough dog (thought it was worth it to get a locally made aussie product)

i wish i still worked at monroe as we could buy at cost price- about $40 to manufacture them

If there three months old, take it back and get a refund/exchange.Ive done 50 odd thousand (off road)kms on OME suspension in two vehicles now and never blown a shock, never had anything but praise for them.
