Hi Frank
What you ask is a relevant question that so many people on this web site deal with. There are some local experts who have given advice before.
For the best answer do a search on the forums about batteries and you will get a couple of pages of really good info that is easy to look through to find an answer.
Opinions vary a bit but generally people agree on what is good.
Thus also saves people from retyping the same answer every week.

Hi Frank
I run a 80 litre fridge constantly.I've got a 100 amp hour AGM battery,
witch I mounted under the tray. The cables used between battery's were the same as normal battery lead. It's a bit of over kill but should have very little volt drop.I do top up the 2nd battery around once a fortnight with the battery charger.I think it's made by ZAP batteries

Frank
First a questions for you:
How deep is your pocket ?
Because the *best* are usually more expensive than the elcheapo's
Look at the individual benefits offered by each type of Battery Isolator, thickness of battery cables, type of fuse and finally the Auxiliary battery itself.

I went with a 100 amp hour deep cycle battery running a 40 liter fridge and a flouro light. No problems lasting 3 days without recharging.
I went with a Bond battery in the end because they are local and made in Australia
(apparently). No affiliation etc etc
They have Australia wide stockists listed on their website
