Suggested Batteries In Jayco Eagle

Well the 120aH Calcium battery in the camper has given up the ghost and wont hold charge. After having it on charge for a week before the last trip, we arrived after 6 hours drive and the battery only had 9 volts in it when it had 12.9 when I left home. After 50 hours on the auto electricians special charger it showed 13.8v but was down to 9.6 volts within a day while just sitting in the back of the car not connected.

Anyway, I never liked the calcium anyway because It did not seem to ever fully charging using the ST-20 system in the van, so its time to look for other batteries. I am just a little undecided what to do. I really want at least 120aH out of the batteries and the more the better. I was considering a couple of AGM batteries or ever four 6 volt deep cycles to give a longer life.

I haven't had much to do with the ST-20's and am not really keen on ripping it out and leaving a gaping hole in the van or trying to cover it up. I do have a 850w scorpion genny that I use occasionally if camping for extended periods to help top the batteries up. So I was wondering what other Jayco owners have done to get some decent battery life and keep the ST-20.

I wish someone would reply to this as i'm interested in where it goes. I just bought a new Eagle but resisted the urge to buy the 120 aH calcium battery (Road King brand I think?) that they pushed. I haven't yet bought a battery for it yet, was leaning towards an AGM but now I want to hear what people think of the Jayco battery charger that they fit, is it any good?
Just out of interest Pete & Fran, how long did the Calcium battery last?
