I have photos from a recent trip I would like to post in
Places and my blog but don't know how to resize them to 800 pixels. They are currently in jpg format and around 1mgb or so. I tried to insert one as it is but it didn't work. Help please.

Hi Phil,
I reckon its a great little program, i use it for a lot of resizing. Either a one off or a lot at once. I usually keep pictures in one folder and then resize them to another so I keep the originals. some sites need different sized one.
Somebody onn here mentioned it awhile ago, I used and thought what a little ripper.
Cheers

Its easier than what I was doing. All my photos are ina program called Picassa. It can email photos for yoy and you have th eoption of changing their size. But they were never small enough for thumbnails. I used to email them to myself and save them (as you do) in a sub directory under the original photos.
Thanks and cheers

Gooday Min,
if you have microsoft office... go to: microsoft office .....microsoft office tools.. and microsoft office picture manager. This is a very handy program that most people don't even realise they have.

That's right Fred. A good program and an alternative way of opening the picture is just to right click in the picture, select Open With... and choose Office Picture Manager.

Hi Min,
I might depend what sort of computer/software you have... I have Windows XP and just use the standard "Picture Manager" to resize images. Select "Resize" from the "Picture" menu at the top. A menu will come up on the RHS as shown:
Image Could Not Be Found
Set to 800x600 pixels (max for ExplorOz) or other size as approriate and press "OK". Don't forget to save it as a new file ("Save As" in the "File" menu) otherwise you'll overwrite your original image, and when closing Picture Manager, press DO NOT SAVE CHANGES (again, that would overwrite your original image). I hope this helps.
