Wanting to go away
camping for about 5 or more days over the xmas-new years break. Looking for a spot to
camp...possibly along the east coast of VIC / NSW, near to
the beach...allows dogs...accessable by 4x4...quiet
camping spot..Any ideas?

It may not be quite that close to
the beach. At least dogs are allowed and you can use your car to get there.
Out in your back yard. May even have a free BBQ. But you must use your own wood and don't forget to take your rubbish with you. The owners also have a beautiful kitchen, bathroom and flushing
toilet. They may even let you use the house if it rains.
Sorry Couldn't resist that. But its about the only place here you will not be absolutely crowded out.
Seriously what you seek is almost impossible especially near
the beach. You may want to change your mind and head for the hills. But then you most probably will have a problem with the dog not being allowed.
All jokes aside, I hope someone does know of a place for you

There were some sites along the 90 Mile Beach between Seaspray and Golden Beach that you were allowed to have your dog at but these fill up really quick. All the other
bush camping I know of to the NSW border is National
Park. You may need to find a pet friendly Caravan
Park and these aren't too quiet at that time of year.

Dogs
In the Gippsland Lakes Coastal
Park dogs are only permitted (on a leash at all times) at the following locations: Barrier Landing (300 m east of the jetty), Ocean Grange (within 100 m of the residential zone), Paradise Beach,
Loch Sport Causeway, Flamingo Beach, The Honeysuckles and Golden Beach (between campsites one to six on Shoreline Drive).
