Might be a bit too far out from your trip for anyone to be able to give you a reliable road report. Suggest you check conditions a little closer to leaving.

Gerry - road conditions last of last week.
Tibooburra , Camerons Corner , Merty Merty,
Innamincka,
Walkers Crossing to
Birdsville in my opinion in good condition with a few rough spots. The
Birdsville Track is the same with the graders working north of
Mirra Mitta bore last Sunday.
Maree to
William Creek it gets rougher as you get closer to
William Creek but still ok.
Bourke to
Tibooburra via
Wanaaring we did not travel but I have never heard a good word about the road.
Overheard a conversation at Camerons Corner which said that the Old Strzelecki was in good condition.
Also recently read that if you call at Bollard
Lagoon for $10 you can buy a mud map which will allow you to travel through the station to join up with
Bore Track to
Innamincka.
Road condition will change rapidly should they get a storm through.

G'day Gerry
We have just come home from the Simpson via Camerons Corner. The worst road we experienced was from Camerons Corner to
Tibooburra. It has large corrugations and loose surface with some washouts from a recent downpour which have not yet been repaired. My clutch failed on this road and the metal line had cracked above a flanged fitting. Luckily Wally at Tib. came to my rescue with a flanging tool..cost $20!!. This road is thru the
Sturt National Park so I guess its the responsibility of National Parks.
Cheers..kevin
