I will check this out in a few secs - I have just installed by accident a major change to the back end code - I cannot revert to where I was I have to push forward and resolve all issues as they arrise. I will test this one in a minute and let you know.

same old story....thought you would have learnt by now David...."if it aint broke dont fix it"

by saying that, after i clicked on "post follow up" in this thread to post the above line it would normally take me to the login screen ( i never login automatically, well ever since i started using firefox anyway cos i cant get it to work and now just live with it)...well any way it used to take me to the login screen...all i got this time was java script i think its called. tried it in another thread and same thing happened. I needed to login via the icon.

Fixed now No. 1 - I will make the next change shortly that will open up the Login panel at the top of the page when you click on the POst Reply or Followup links.

Why are your cookies not working - have you tried to clear all cookies and start again?

I will write a little routine shortly to allow you to clear all ExplorOz cookies - should have done this ages ago. Let me get it working and I will tell you how to run it.

No 1.

I have just added a Cookie reset system in the Login drop down system at the top of the page. So when you are next visiting and not logged on try hitting the Logon Icon or Logon text message in the top line of the system and you will see in the RHS panel a button called Reset Cookies - click this and answer OK - this guys will force remove all cookies set on your computer for ExplorOz so should hopefully fix the Auto Logon issue for you - Once you have cleared the cookies logon right on the same screen and select the Remember Me and let me know how it goes.

Interesting - I use Firefox the most of all - it is fast and relaible coupled with Firebug (development debugger) it is really good. Weird that your FF will not remember your settings. Tell me when you go to the login page does it remember your member id? This will tell us if the cookie is being removed.

Also once you have logged on go to Tools - Page Info - Security and look for a cookie with the name like Hv91scbq%2fIg%3d - it will be from the site exploroz.com - click it to highlight it and then have a look in the info panel at the end of the page and have a look at the Expires setting - it should be a year. Does this exists? What does the Expires value say?

Ok then you have a config setting that is causing this to expire. Go to Tools - Options - Privacy - Cookie Exceptions : in this list I suspect you will find www.exploroz.com with a setting of Allow for Session - Remove the site from the list or change it to Allow. If it is not shown then add it so in the Address box type www.exploroz.com and the click Allow. Once this is done it should be solved.

Give it a whirl and let me know how you get on.

Glad it is sort now - I suspect at one time you were promted as to what to do with the cookie and at the time you selected the Expire at Session end - it remembers this for ever so you would have to manually change it back to get it to work - as you now have.

Happy to help.
