I'm thinking of buying a Garmin gps 60CSx,could I get some help from some one with knowledge of these units are they user friendly,and are they a good unit,I intend to use it when gold detecting,it's a second hand unit looks in good condition,2 years old,with Australia map in it.would appreciate any help on this.hamo.

Gooday Hamo,
the 60Csx has a lot of features, and is reliable. Really like
mine. Took a bit of getting used to, but the more you use it the more you will like it. Use good quality batterys and you won't have a problem.
You can also put Shonky maps onto the 60Csx for free. Just search previous threads for more details,

agree with the above
good batteries seem to last a very long time. handy portable unit and easy to use. The Australia map is probably just the base map thay they stick on so be prepared to put shonkymaps on
i use googlemap to autoroute and then transfer it into the unit as a route

I have a 60CS I would buy a 60CSx in a heartbeat an excellent dual purpose road and offroad unit
