Got the long awaited phone call yesterday from the van dealer that our new pride and joy has arrived and that we can pick it up next week. Can not get it any earlier as they have no bookin times unavailable to do the hand over as they are doing about four to six a day all from the last caravan and camping show.
WOOOHOOO

Hi GB

It is a Jayco Flamingo outback ST (shower and toilet)
Hyland coupling, simplicity suspension, have a set of 16" wheels and tyres to go on, alco drop legs,2x120amp agm's,extra gas fitting for bbq, extra awning off kitchen, pole carrier, bag ends and awning. And about two tons of other goodies to go in when I get it home LOL.

You must get your newone soon, You do not have to buy a new van to have an excuse to come over here you know.

P.s dont listen to Roachie he loves Queensland and the people in it. He spends a lot of time up here, its all smoke and mirriors to try and turn people of coming here so he can have all the best camping spots to himself...HAHAHA

I just had a look on the Jayco website Ross.

Very nice. Look forward to helping you wet its head.

Delivery on mine is making it touch and go as to whether I get to St George.

Currently it is down for "between 28 and 30 Sept". That's leaving it a bit fine to get out to St George. I've asked them to try for the 25th, here's hoping.

cheers

And I have a great deal of respect for Roachie.

All those years as a bank johnny in PNG. Every Friday afternoon doing the Greenie Gulp and he's still got some functioning brain cells.

Better than me....

Dear Ross,

Whatever gives you idea that I love queerland????? I must admit that yes, I do love the bit of it north of a line drawn between Daintree and Burketown....but the rest of it you can have as far as I'm concerned.

I have only agreed to go there this coming school holidays, in an effort to try and bring a bit of decorum to what would otherwise turn out to be a total disaster.

As for the few days I have planned for after St George (blurry Gold Coast).... well I'm still in negotiations with my bank manager as to which one of my lads is considered satisfactory collateral to leave behind as security for the $3 million I'll have to borrow to get in and out of those mongrel theme parks.....

Meanwhile, the rest of my time lately has been spent queuing up at the local doctors surgery, trying to get all the damned injections I need for Hendra Virus and swine flu. I have to be particularly careful of the Hendra virus, cos it attacks horses...... and I've got a gazillion of those little ponies under the bonnet of my Patrol........hahaha

Well I hope this news rocks your world as it has just bleep tered mine. I have had in the winds a B105 Gotcha Call organised for about a month now and those mongrels have let me down. You were supposed to get a call saying your rig had arrived but it only had 14" wheels on it and to get it changed would take at least 8 weeks leaving you without a camper for the St George gathering. But as per usual if you want something done you have to do it yourself these days, so keep your eyes open buddy...even when your sleeping LOL!!! something else is no doubt going to crop up for your just deserves.

This of course was supposed to be payback for YOU!!! thieving my flag at Warraweena a few years back. YES I KNOW IT WAS YOU so don't try to deny it!!!!

As I have said to you many times, if you are working I would be only too happy to go and pick the camper up for you and drop it at your place...just cause I am a good bloke.

See ya soon mate.
Trevor.

NO NO NO What really happened was , while I was protecting the camp site when you and jude and brian up at the camp fire I noticed a couple of shady looking blokes casing the camp ( It was that Lucy and Roachie ). So I hid your flag in the front box of your van so they wouldn't steal it but they are a cunning pair and must have found it, what more can I say, I tried to protect it.......honest.

Your good friend Rossco

Hey Ross...... watch-yu-torkin-bout-man?????

Me and Lucy are as honest as the day is long and we wouldn't even consider doing such a dastedly thing in our wildest dreams..... I am disappointed that you would try to make Trevor think that we had anything to do with it. ;-)

Of course, it could have possibly been our SWMBOs..... they are both a bit shady.....

Roachie you spineless sod. You are as bad as Ross trying to blame his SWMBO for getting a camper with a shower and toilet when we who know him know that it is all his doing. You pair better not trip on your apron strings when you turn away from the sink to check this message.

I have a saying that I have been living by since I met Ross, it goes "keep your friends close but your enimies closer" and is a very good reason why Ross and I are so "close".

Cheers to you both. ;-)))))))
