We've just returned from browsing in some
camping stores in ACT (Tuggeranong). In BFC we bought some Cobble Stones and were told that they are stopping distribution. Maybe from now on they will only be available at shows? It could be that they are stopping manufacture. Not sure exactly what he meant.
Then we went to
Camping World and noticed Cobb accessories in a 'half price' bin. The story there was that Cobb will only be distributing through the big chains in future so
Camping World were getting rid of all their stock. Maybe
Camping World are franchised and BFC, Rays, etc. are not.
We were very happy with our purchases as we would never have paid full price for them.

I was just thinking about buying a Cobb. Do you like it and use it alot? We saw them at the
Camping and 4WD expo and they looked great.

I bought
mine recently at a Farm show with accessories. We use it a lot at home instead of BBQ for roasting. Did a 2 kg chook and vegetables last night, was terrific as usual.

Hi Luckymum,
Yes, we like our Cobb very much and use it to roast, make pizzas and bake bread. While
camping recently I used the electric frypan to
cook barramundi fillets and the Cobb to roast potatoes and
cook a heap of other veges in foil in the trough. Delicious.
I'm quite sure there are many other uses we haven't explored. A search of this site may bring up past discussions on Cobbs.
We use Cobble Stones for fuel as they are ready in 3 minutes and last for 2 1/2 hours. But it looks as though they may not be available soon so we are stocking up.

G'day,
The Cobb is great. I have used it for roasting, BBQ, damper, Pizza all with terrific results. On the weekend I smoked then BBQ'd some pork ribs and they were absolutely unreal. I am going to smoke some salmon next and see how that works out.
Cheers
