Fred,
three year warranty on them. Don't waste time. I'd have it back to an authorised repairer for a look. Probably time for a service anyway.
Cheers Mick

Are you running it on mains or 12V. If battery- is it getting full voltage ??

My brand new MD14E buzzes, but that to me is consistent with the decibel claim.
They are not a quiet fridge, or so I was led to believe from this
forum by people who said they "would not sleep in a tent with an engel" but otherwise wouldn't buy anything else.
With my 9yr old waeco I can't tell it's on unless I can feel heat coming from the vent. Very different, and so I am not surprised ARB went from an engel to the BD35F used in the waecos.
Not that I am unhappy with my little engel but geez it is noisy.
Of course if someone says this is not normal i'd better get
mine back, but would that be possible that 2 brand new Engels at the same time are duds?
I reckon they are just a noisy fridge.

Have had my Engel for 4 years quiet as a mouse don't even know it's on, should not be making any noise have it checked out.

Its not vibration is it? That is what
mine was, now I can hardly hear it. Put your hand on various parts of the cabinet around the compressor bay.
