Hi All,
Heading down the Cape and would really like to take the "short cut" to
Karumba.
Does anybody know what the road it like at the moment? We are towing an Odyessy trailer and are with a couple of
Kimberley Kampers also.
Haven't had any problems on the OTL but would like to hear from anybody who's done the trak through to Dunbar.
Cheers
Judy

No first hand experince Judy, but I understand that the crossing of the
Mitchell River just north of Dunbar can be quite deep sand.
Perhaps ringing Dubar would be a good move?
Cheers,
Peter

If you don't go that way, I did the Fairlight, Fairview run not long ago - basic station roads with no issues for camper trailers. Bit further but doable with confidence.

Thanks for that.
Have spoken to
Musgrave Roadhouse and they tell me that the
Mitchell River crossing near Dunbar is uncrossable! So we'll take your advice and go the Fairview route.
Cheers
Judy
