Has anyone travelled this recently - what's it like - suitable to tow a 21'caravan over?
From
Weipa to Mt Isa what is the fastest route?
Thanks
Dian

have travelled this road a couple of time but not this year. I have always found it ok with some loose gravel sections that build up in the centre of the wheel tracks.
All you need to do here if ground clearance is a bit low, get over to the side a bit more so the mound of gravel is not hitting your axle/s.
It would be the quickest way, but its all black top via
Georgetown.

Hi
I traveled it early June - excellent condition
Can I suggest, if you have time spend a night at Porcupine Gorge it is an excellent
camping area and is set up for caravans with
well prepared sites
