Hi All,
If anyone has had air cond installed into their caravan recently in
Darwin or surrounds can you please advise where you got it done and what type please???
We have been searching and searching for days to find someone up here that supplies and installs Heron 2.2 air cond units or Dometic B1900S or B2200 Pop Top Roof Mounted Air Cons???? We can find a B2200 unit at a caravan business but on-one avail to install it.....
We would prefer to get a Heron 2.2 installed if possible as we have the cupboard provision and powerpoint in place but it seems impossible up this way???
Any help or a direction to look in would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks

Gooday,
sorry, don't know much about caravan a/c units, but have you tried Coromal Caravans, 910 Stuart Highway, Pinelands. (across the road from BP Palms) ? They have helped me in the past with stuff I couldn't get anywhere else. I do warn you though, the guys that run the place are real "characters", but you can bargain with them.

I hope you are replacing an existing one as your allowable weight for carrying food & everything else will be erroded by the weight of the a/con unit. We got caught in 2002 when we bought our van and requested an awning & ai con unit only to find that the items were fitted after the tare weight was established hence we lost 100kg of our allowance...swines.
