Please take it easy on dirt roads, I've just had a phone call to say my son has just rolled his car out the back of Collombatti. Apparently a motor bike came around a corner on the wrong side of the road when my son swerved he lost control and the car went over about 3 times. Ihavent got all details yet as he is on his way to hostpital. Just remember even if you have'nt seen anyone for a while there could be someone around the next corner. Just slow down on dirt roads and take it easy.

Is this the son Mark and Hairs were talking about that went with you to the Gathering that they organised earlier this year??
Cheers Kev

Hi Dave
I hope your son will be ok.
How's the bike rider?
It doesn't have to be Dirt it happens on the bitumen as
well. Some guy 62 had a head on and died, came round a corner to fast on his triumph or the car was to fast not sure on the details, Last week in the Ku-ring- Gai national
park on a narrow twisty section.
As a bike rider it defiantly makes you take more care.
Rob

And DO WHAT???
His wife works there so she should be able to get more info than he would be able to get.
For all we know he has other children to look after as
well. I wouldn't be dragging my kids to the hospital to see a sibling so soon after a motor vehicle accident. Would you??

OK I am going to try and bridle my tongue here!
Darrell, you are reacting here maybe cause this is a familiar scene to you? happened to you before in some way?
But mate, Pull your head in! you do not know Dave, you have not met the man, nor his son, we have. Don't go judging the bloke when you are not there in the current situation and you don't know him!

Hate those phone calls.
Got a call a year or so ago from a chaplian to say my son had been in an accident.
My son then rung on his mobile 15mins later saying he was still in the car and being cut out and will be taken to hospital by
ambulance, but not too serious.
Hospital was about 2 hours away and got their as they finished doing the examination. He was Ok luckily, but still a bit groggy.
Took all afternoon until they would release him, but we got him home safely.
Now I know how my father felt when I rang him a couple of times in my 20s from when I had gone off the road. Your heart defintely misses a beat.
Hope hw will be OK.

Oh Jeez,
Looks like their were lucky to be able to walk away from that with only the injuries that they received. I hope they have a speedy recovery, Dave.
He must be bleep tered, mate. I was pretty impressed with the way he handled himself the Australia Day weekend on the Malara Fire Trail in the Zuki. Those skills would of helped him in this unfortunate incident.
I'm glad he's doing all right mate.
If you can Guys, It would be good to see you at
Levuka
over
Easter next year.
Anyway, say G'day to Scotty for us.
Cheers mate.

Richard,
In your blog you asked about moderation of the site, this thread is a classic example of inconsistency.
IE: Darrell (reply 379228) has made some remarks to Dave that is a personal attack on Dave, what has been done about that, Zilch. Inconsistent Moderation I think.
If you read the thread you would see that his son is reasonably OK, as for the rider,
well he p155ed off and left him for dead as far as the rider knew. This info was posted BEFORE your reply.
That's what's wrong with some of the moderation here Richard.
Colin.

Some people can be extremely lucky in car accidents. I'm glad that Dave's son was one.
This guy was too, only an overnight stay in hospital and minor lacertations

Yeah thanks Richard,
When I look at the car I think they were very lucky to come out with just bruises and a few cuts.
