G/Day Rik

I can't help you with any tracks in the Coomera Area at the moment, but I will send you a MM when I find out from one of my sons, they know a few in the area, any way welcome to the Forum as a Member.

Cheers

Rik,

Welcome to the forum. Do you have experience off road? I only ask because your post seems to me to indicate that you're new to 4wd'ing. If this is the case, may I suggest you consider joining a club or doing an off road drivers course to learn the skills needed to safely drive off road.
We belong to the Gold Coast 4WD Club, we meet 1st Tuesday of the month at the Bi-Centennial Hall at Nerang. Click here for web site.
As part of the joining fee, you do a one day Driver Awareness Program at our training facility where you will learn lots and get to know a few members. It's a very family orientated club as well.

Cheers

Brian

Rik,
I'll second Brian's idea of doing, as an absolute minimum, a Driver Awareness Course through a 4wd club before doing too much offroad driving.

Advanced training courses are well worth doing after you have done a trip or two and you have some idea of the capability of your vehicle.

As a general comment, inexperience and/or overconfidence are the prime causes of many 4wd incidents.

Despite what all the Ads show, there is always more to learn about driving off road every time you go out to play.

Many on here will tell you that you experience something new every trip.

It is much much more than just jumping into a vehicle and going anywhere you want.

Having said all that, enjoy your experiences and take it easy.

Make sure that you keep the shiny side up.

Disco.

Hi Rik,
Sorry mate, I thought you were local here, hence the suggestion to join our club.
4WD Qld has a web page HERE and on the left hand menu is a button for "Club List" which has contact details for the relevant clubs in Qld. There will be one near you that will undoubtedly suit.

Cheers

Brian

G'day Rik R
I recommend TLCC Qld. Meetings at Mt Coot-tha so handy enough. Lots of trips. But if you're into really hard stuff look elsewhere as we don't do much of that.
Cheers from the Moose
