Afternoon all,
Just purchased a pair [ one ?] of Bushnell binos for the glove box.
Nice, compact and inexpensive.
Curious what the numbers mean, in this case 10 x 25.
Cheers.....Lionel.

That's an easy one!! the first figure is the magnification; the second figure is the diameter of the object lense (ie the one closet to the thing you are looking at).

Hi Lionel A,
The figures give you the i/ Magnification power of the lens (in your case 10) and the ii/ Diameter of the lens (25 mm).

You may also find a set of small numbers from +2 to -2 on one of the eyepieces, and that eyepiece will rotate to any of those positions. They are diopter corrector measurements for myopia (short/long sightedness) and correspond to your spectacles prescription.
The idea being that where you have uneven eye scripts - you focus ONE lens onto a distant object then rotate the small diopter adjustment, on the other till it comes into sharp focus.
Cheers
