By mid- September you should have a brilliant show. Theres been rain here this winter and everything is blooming, just this morning they where talking on ABC local radio about how this season is going to be the best in years!
Mullewa has its wildflower show running from Aug 23rd to Aug 30 - a bit off your track though.
I went through on my way to
Tom Price a couple of weeks back and havent seen it so green in years.
Heres a page that shows whats about and where and when - remember the rain was late in coming so could be a months difference in blooming times.

Enjoy the flowers.

Article in today's West about them. Was through that way a fortnight ago and the Everlastings, Banksia and other flowers are definitely starting to put on a show. Different soil types give a different show.

Hi Bungarra
We have just returned from 3 great weeks in the
Great Victoria Desert, Connie Sue and
Plumridge Lakes Area. The wild flowers were just coming into bloom, and this is just a sample of what you can expect.
Have a great trip.
Cheers

Mazcan,
Stephen's photos are very good and I'm not trying to take anything away from them with this post.
I have a Canon digital SLR and have always been very pleased with the photos but then I saw the results of a friend's Sony digital SLR.
They are very good without any tweaking at all. Check the pictures on:
www.niknoff.com
Have a look thru the various sections of his blog, particularly "2009".
cheers

Around that time we are going up the Midlands Hwy, Coalseam
camping which will have best everlastings for years,
Mullewa,
Yalgoo & across to Leinster, down thru golden quest areas, along Menzies/Evanston Road & down to Great Eastern Hwy & home. All the little towns have locals manning their visitor centres at this time & they will gladly give you mud maps to find any special species of
wildflowers you may wish to see. Do stop & walk & bend down to look at flowers very closely - there is a whole new world in each tiny flower. Take a magnifying glass or be extravagant & get a jewellers eyeglass. Look out for our Prado with an ExploreOz sticker across rear window. Cheers Heather & John
