All sounded a bit fishy to me, another good yarn west. Who's gonna walk river crossings before driving across now! Easy decision to stay home for the V8's now.

Yep it should be, but I just do the driving, take pictures and remain obedient to SWMBO. Talked (forced) me into getting rid of the camper (2 of em) and now I can't even take this one through long grass.

Whenever a big croc story emerges anywhere in Australia, the length quoted is always directly proportional to the excitement of the reporter :-o).

Reminds me of when Sweetheart was captured and brought back to Berrimah Farm which resulted in the photo of Sweetheart with both my daughters in it going world wide.

Yep you got it John. been doing your homework eh. Thanks for that.

The first two kids (the dark and snow tops) were from across the road. The third is my eldest and the fifth along is my second, both redheads.

I was Foreman Carpenter at the time.

Dave Lindner runs the buffalo farm in Kakadu, Buck is a ranger in Kakadu, both were responsible for Sweethearts capture in the Finnis river in Litchfield NP.
Sweetheart was 300 mm shorter than the one above.

"Travelin OZ posted:

Yep that correct althought it wasn't Litchfield NP at the time.

So Travelin OZ who do we have there? Do we know each other from a past life? As I said above I was Foreman Chippie on Berrimah Farm (Conservation Commission)

Pity it might not be the croc that was doing the scaring..

The local kids had been teasing a biggen by hanging from trees and feeding it camp dogs. This one was harpooned after the teased croc took a swipe at a kid who fell in the drink. When the croc was shown to the kids at the school they laughed telling the rangers their salty had all its limbs.
