Just wondering if anybody had a manual for a Howling Moon Rooftop Camper. I haev to build a new mounting kit so was hoping it had the bolt sizes and dimensions.

Mat,

I have the ARB Pilbara RTT (Roof Top Taj-Mahal) so basically identicle to the Howling Moon. Depending on just what I was mounting to, I just drilled new holes through the base of the tent and used stainless flat head bolts drilled through and seats made to suit the racks/bars I was attaching it to (Nylock nuts though). Old holes get filled with builders bod and sanded off. I've never used the aluminium cross bars at any stage. Usually mount direct onto a strip of single sided adhesive 25mm high density foam tape from Clarke Rubber.

Cheers Mick.

I was thinking of mounting it on some channel bar then staright onto the roof rack. Drilling new holes might make it easier

Mat,

the floor of the tent should hold it just make sure to use a good sized washer and a flat headed bolt, preferably with a slot or phillips in it to facilitate tightening and removal (Always hard trying to tighten it using multi's to get a hold lol). You don't want a hex head sticking up as you'll feel it through the mattress The foam tape will cushion and reduce any possible vibration. I've carted mine over some bloody rough territory with no problems what-so-ever.
