probably more poor people having "sad and tragic" lives I reckon!
And as the saying goes-
"tis better to be rich and miserable than poor and miserable"!!

it is better to be able to live at peace with yourself, so you can then live at peace with others. Sufficient $$$ for your needs, is enough. More than that, usually causes strife.... usually (not always..) more $$$ causes more strife. Living beyond our means even greater strife.

Look after the pennies & the pounds will look after themselves.
All the silver & gold in the world belongs to the Lord.
Blessed is he who's sins, the lord will not keep account of.
Blessed is he who lives under the Lords divine grace and not under law.
Give us this day our daily bread.
A man who learns to be happy with nothing - when he has a little, will have more than enough.
Learn to cut your coat according to your cloth.
It is easier for a camel to pass thu the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
The good Lord knows all your needs - and before you even ask, has already made more than adequate provision.
(People just have trouble discerning needs from wants).
Blessed Lord - I cast the burden of debt, upon the Christ within, and I go free to receieve all that is
mine by divine right.
There is no lack in divine mind, and God is within all of us.
Whatsoever it benefit a man, if he hath material wealth, but no family?
Miracles happen, to those who act, upon their faith.
When you truly understand these spiritual truths, you will indeed be "rich" in the faith - which is all that matters.
Cheers

Pretty sure it was Spike Milligan who said:
" Money cant buy you happiness ,but it CAN buy you a better form of misery"

Someone also said
"Life is like a sandwich, the more bread you've got the better the sandwich"
Goodness me what a lot of corny clichés are flying about today.

Then the questions are - How much is too much? How do you judge what is too much? How do you control people having too much? Why do some people with money do good, why others do bad?
An African in a slum may see me as a very rich person, in our country I earn below the average wage.
Money may be one small problem - but there is far more to misery than money I would suggest - qubert!

I have a business proposition originating from a Government Minister in Nigeria, who can turn this million dollars to unimagined riches
