Brisbane radio this morning (4BC) had a talk with the proprietor of the Nindigully Pub, about 40 km from St George.
The members going to the annual meeting could drop in for a feed of their Road Train hamburger. They come in at 5.6 kg of food, plus chips and onion.
Only cost $36, and if you eat it in one sitting, you get a free keg of Heinniekin beer.
Would make a nice addition to a warm Queensland weekend.

Morning Kev

After watching you devour a whole leg of lamb with baked veges at Innamincka last year, I'd almost bet that the Road Train would just be an entree. Nice way to get the gathering out of the Dam area for lunch one day ???

Cheers

The Farm tour that is organised for Tuesday and Wednesday may be a good time for the 2 groups to head to Nindigully for lunch. The purpose of the 2 groups is to allow a slightly smaller group to tour the Farm. The farm is about half way from St George and Nindigully.

The trip home will be via backroads from Nindigully.

A feed of the Road Train and wash it down with a glass of Queensland Diesel, and it might be a recipe for an afternoon nap eh?

Sounds like a top idea Kev, I might have to see how big they are on the way into the gathering, was going to have a night there anyway, but may have to share it with Annie hahahaha.
Now the track back, after a big steak, a couple of beers I think Annie will be driving, I had better turn the boost control right back don't want her doing any drifting lol.

I had already intended to go to the Nindigully Pub while in St George, but no way would I want that feast. But I will support Kev in his en-devours to do so. Ha Ha Ha.

I also want to drive out to Bollon one morning for breakfast at a lovely little road side café in town, I stopped there 2 years ago and just loved the place and its atmosphere.

At least I think it was Bollon?????

Colin,

The Cafe in Bollon is still operational as far as I know. I'll make some enquiries for you. You could do Breakfast in Bollon then head to Rosehill Aviaries to check them out on the way home.

I intend to get a whiteboard out there with attractions etc for people to put their names down for when they want to go to the places for a look.

Cheers Kev
