fires around Gin Gin

Does anyone know if the fires around
Gin Gin have been near or affected the Lake Monduran
camping and Caravan areas I'm heading that way next week and wonder if the fires are near to them

Not that I'm aware of, I'll ask the local lieutenant from the Fire and rescue when I find her. (she is in the office here somewhere)

No Dave you will be fine.
The fires were near the GinGin-Mt Perry Rd which is on the Western side of the highway.
Lake Monduran is to the East of the highway.
I have a farm up that way that is looking pretty dry at the moment. It as been 4 years since it was burned and plenty of dry fuel ready to go at the moment.
Have upped the insurance and asked the neighbour not to try and protect anything.

Thanks for the info I think I will head north on Monday, been years since I was in
Gin Gin when I used to stop there on a convoy stop as an Army driver heading to Shoal
water Bay, good times and a great little town hope the lake area is as great
