When I was in junior high school all those years ago, the best advice I got from one of my teachers when sitting for exams was "read the question"
ie Answer what the question is asking, NOT what you think the question is, or tell the exam marker how much you know of other things, apart from "the question"
Just today, I have witnessed respondents giving all kinds of advice but they are not addressing what the inquirer has asked.
If I want to know if a Nissan is better than a Toyota, I don't give a tinkers' about Land Rovers or Pajeros. OK?
Crikey, it's been quiet around the office this arvo!
LOL.

We all do that all the time :-)
Makes for some heated threads though :-)
Now what was your question? Landrovers and Pajeros may be better than Toyota and Nissan so it should be pointed out - Can I add my Rodeo is better than allof them :-)
Cheers Tony

No, it was a statement, not a question rhetorical or otherwise.

Hi Gary,
That's only part of it.
There's also a responsibility to actually ask an answerable question.
Nobody on this
forum knows what is going on inside yours or my head in relation to our intended question.
To get a useful answer ask an answerable question.
Any question with "better" in it is going to head off track very quickly as everyone measures "better" differently.

Only thing worse is answering a question that nobody asked, or no one else cares about.

Yes I agree - And as for your beach driving I would riun my tyres at 18psi and a good all round compressor to pump them back up is a Kingcrome 12v.
Hope that helps :-))) Cheers TONY

OK I have a slightly different recolection
basically for exams you would learn several essays and when the exam question was revealed you would make the question fit the answer

Hi there Gary, Yeah I agree it is a bit annoying when people get a bit off track, but little can be done about it on a public
Forum.
I drive a Mazda BT50 and I'm very happy with it. I know it is not a direct comparison to your question as to you wanting to know if a Nissan is better than a Toyota. But, Here in Cardiff, both Toyota & Mazda are represented by the same dealer and in fact I notice they have lately taken on the agency for that beaut new Chinese Machine, The Great Wall. So they must be all sorta the same.
As to which vehicle is better when comparing a Toyota with a Nissan, both of which are excellent vehicles, could I suggest that seeing you are considering the purchase of a new vehicle, that you take a close look at the Mazda?
I am not able to help you much about Tinkers or Land Rovers, because I have never owned one, But the Pajero would certainly be worth a close look at as I believe them to be a good reliable vehicle & excellent value for money. LOL & cheers.
