Same question asked last week. Was on the
Ashburton Downs Meekatharra Rd a few weeks back and it was fantastic. Don't know about the Pingandy Road but suspect that it would be in similar condition.
But from memory (3yrs ago) the Pingandy road had lots of dips and floodways which you need to slow down for. Some of the dips were bad in that the had a rock lip not dissimilar to a street kerb. Does wonders for the
suspension.

Roads don't change much out there. Pingandy Road has lots of twists and turns and dips and
creek crossings but is normally in good surface condition. Drive to the conditions. Ashburton Downs Road is a typical outback gravel road. It can be good and smooth or it can be corrugated. The scenery is quite nice. There is a bush
camp site off the Ashburton Downs Road on Pingandy
Creek. Make your way along the river bank north of the road until you are out of sight. Plenty of firewood.
