The roof leaks, e,g on the C/T,water proofing what to use

While we were away we were rained on in
Innamincka and found out that the roof leaked in a patch about 10cm by 10cm sq is there any thing,the best thing you can get to
water proof this patch,a spray or what ever you have used to stop the

I gather it is canvas....if it was the first time it had got wet that might be it, the canvas has probably done what ever it does and is now OK if not there are a few brush on sealers at the
camping shops or try a can of the spray on seam sealer...under $20 hope this helps good

Hi Brian the canvas is fairly old as we brought it 2nd hand the canvas it's self looks to be in good shape but on saying that there a couple patches were it leaks through.cheer's G.D

Halls Canvas Goods at Hackham sell a product called "Reproof" which is a brush-on product made for reproofing canvas. I redid our older canvas tent and it hasn't leaked in the rain on 2 trips since. Its a lot cheaper than the expensive tins of stuff you get at the
camping shops.
