Has anyone else noticed that the AMP ad on the RHS with the blue/white kaliedoscope pattern makes the site slow right down, if you click on a link to a post it won't go until the ad has run its course.
Right PITA and I'm on cable so it must really annoy the users with slower connections and dialup.

I think it's all ads.....that's the reason for not watching commercial TV.
Got to love Flash animation.

I know that it is the Ad's that keep this site operating. I think as individuals we should be able to switch them off if we want to. Has anyone noticed how the sound comes up when T V ad's come on. They even want to intrude on your time making a Cuppa or when you are in the LOOOOOO...

Peter, as a member you can turn the ads off. If you look over to the right and down a bit from your original post you will see the tick box.

I thought when I was reading Lionels post 71871 about the suns effect on your vision, that the AMP ad right next to the post was very distracting, and hard to concentrate on the post.
Still, I suppose ads are designed to get your attention.

For non members, the pop up Advert in the top right square box often covers the text of the first thread post making it unreadable.
Other than that I just ignore them.
Cheers
