visit this site:
http://www.lakeeyreyc.com/
and be sure to click on the satellite image.
This sat image & the relevant observations updated.
If you visit
Marree, call into the L.E.Y.C. clubhouse. Me & me mates gave the commodore a few bucks to help it all along, but you can buy merchandise to assist their efforts instead.
Cheers

Just got back from there....and the short answer is HEAPS!!
Starting to evaporate pretty quick now...but is still lots there. It is a fair way out to it at
Halligan bay...a pretty long n muddy walk. Best way to see it is from the air...and the sheer size of the lake is mind boggling...with the amount of
water still left.
Cheers Keith

I agree with Keith. I was there only a few weeks ago The best way is to see it from the air. You can see where people have walked out from Halligans Bay to the
water. Also, you can see a camel track when you fly over it.
The pilot will tell the story. It is better to fly as it is a long walk to the
water now.
Go soon or it will disappear with the hotter weather.

As a percentage their is roughly 15% of the Lake currently covered in
water to a depth of around one metre although the vast majority would be better measured in millimetres. As it's been only a relatively shallow fill the birds never came down to the lake in any real numbers. There will be
water to be seen for the September school holidays although would be a long muddy walk from the car.
The fat lady hasn't sung yet but can hear her warming up :-)
