Sir Kev & Darkie
This is just a Public Thanks to Ian, for his additional donation of items for the people attending the
St George Gathering.
He has sent additional items so that all vehicles that attend recieve one. I think it is great that a Business member of ExplorOz supports Gatherings.
There has also been a few members who are unable to attend send stuff for either prizes, activities, or Money donations.
Items that have been sent include a horseshoe throwing set (thanks Ian), a Diesel Jerry can full of Diesel (Thanks Jeff O), a $50 note (Thanks Barry F), A Fantastic Looking Print (Thanks Peter).
I think I have everyone covered thus far.
I am keen to hear WHO won the Photo Comp so Brian at Canvas Charisma can create a Canvas print for a Prize at the Gathering and so Peter (Extfilm) can do a Professional copy of the winning print for the winner.
It is now down to 4 weeks till the Gathering starts, The numbers have reached 67 registered, although this includes a few that are unable to attend. This number matches the 2007 National Gathering registrations as the most to register for a Gathering :))
Lets hope a few more register so it can be the largest number of EO Folk to register for a Gathering
Register or view Gathering details here.
See you all soon.
Cheers Kev

I fell like a bit of a Dill as I have just remembered that I forgot to mention a couple of other who have donated Stuff.
Stuart in WA has donated a couple of Elec
Winches and a few sets of
driving lights (They are all secondhand but in working order)
Someone else organised the freight for the stuff from Stuart (not sure if he wants to be publically mentioned though as he is a shy bloke ;)
The
Winches should create a bit of hysteria for the Nissan owners as they would need another winch to recover themselves hahahahaha
Thanks again to those to people who I forgot to mention in the original post.
Cheers Kev

Kev,
Let me tell you that Ian (owner of RV Powerstrem) is a man of the highest integrity and generosity.
He donated a substantial amount (it ran to
well over $3000) of his products to Michael
Mitchell doing the "Great Cancer Bush Walk". I very bloody
well know how much gear he sent down because I had to fit it LOL.
And he never sought any recognition or tried to use it to promote his business.
When Michael hit strife in the bush with lack of power, Ian organised to send a Solar Panel up to the middle of nowhere (again at his own expense) to support the cause.
We chat from time to time and I have the highest regard for the man.
Cheers,
Jim.

Jim,
Ian is a very generous business man. It is pleasing to see that a business can support such an event even though they are unable to attend.
Cheers Kev
