Sounds like you've been "Windsored"
We ordered a new Rapid before our big trip in 2002.
Everything was great until we put it on a weighbridge and found that you could only load it with 200kgs of food ,water ,clothes etc... before it was 'overloaded' according to the chassis placard.
To cut an extremeeeeeeeely long story short, of engineers ,lawyers and numerous meetings with the directors of Windsor they refunded all my money less legal fees and they took the caravan back to resell it to someone not so cautious as to what they were towing.
This was after 3 months of hell ,after renting our house out and not having anywhere to live and having to purchase another van to do our trip.
They made a product which would have dangerous and uninsurable and told me that "no one will check the weights, go off on your holiday "
Mention my name when you are talking to Windsor .......I'm sure they will remember me!!!!!

Hi Steve,

don't tell us that the van has been leaking & the frame s timber & is slowly rotting away.

I sincerely hope that is not the case.

But it was the case when i/we had the motorhome, were getting it repaired from the damage i inflicked upon it when in Tassie (ran over a large rock)when in Ben Lomond NP & tight turn was required.

When getting it repaire they half dozen or so mixture of c/vans & m/homes(brands) & what i witnessed was rotting timber framing from the manufacturers not sealing them properly & also owners not the maintainence on the like resealing every 2/3 yrs.
One was a bus m/home about 400k never been registed.(major manufacturer
Hope you & Denny are having a good trip.

Might catch up at the gathering.

Cheers,

Bob.

goodday guys
wehad the awning go over in high winds and all the sheets on both sides had to be replaced
when the repairer was pulling the old sheets of there was no glue on any sheets but the lights had so much glue and silicone he broke most trying to get them off then found when the sheets were off that about 1/3 of the wall battens were cracked or broken where the wires ran through them fortunately our repairer has done a good job and strenghtened where needed some of windsors repairs involved a bit of aluminium placed over the break and heaps of staples shot through it that was the "repair "by windsor workers
the van is better than new now but that is why we wont be going to the van show as this comes on all the problems of trying to get what we wanted in a new van
but i would never buy another WINDSOR AND I WOULD NEVER DEAL WITH SOUTHERN WINDSOR AGAIN
