Vic,
I was looking for an alternative to the Cooper ST's. Looked at the Grabber A/T. Opted for the Micky Thomson FC2. Good tyre for general AT work. Reasonable in the rough stuff but will get hammered in the really hard stuff (off track stuff). If you're not doing anything extreme, have a look at the
Ironman Electra LT65's. A damn site cheaper and some very good reports coming out of the mining companies using them.
Cheers Mick

I had some Micky Thomson's on when I travelled the GRR , they looked like Rat's had been gnawing at them after the trip,

I had the General Grabbers TR on a new Defender and did 66K on them with no dramas and they still had at least 65% tread left when I sold it. Of course they may wear quicker as they get down a bit but they took the GRR with no chipping.
I also put their AT2 on a Defender and they too were very good, quiet on the road, heavier tread than the TRs and wore very
well.
Would have put them on the Prado but couldn't get them in the 17" wheel size so went for BFGs which were a good bit more expensive.
Hope this helps the decision.
Alan.

Thanks Alan
I have tracked down the importer of the grabbers and found a bit more on the web, they sound very interesting the only problem is I want a set of five and they can only find 3, next shipment should arrive in 3-5 weeks .I just hope Mickey T dont offer a great deal at the show tomorrow and complicate my decision.I also found the importer of the Ironman but they only have 4 and no more if any for at least 5 months but also very interesting at $ 190 fitted.
