Daughter needs a new remote entry unit for her Santa Fe. The current one unlocks, but won't lock the vehicle. Seems kaput.
Any ideas on where to source a replacement without the big bucks that Hyundai want ??
Cheers
Peter

hi peter
have you tryed replacing the batery's in the remote as i have found it takes less
battery power to unlock than it does to lock a vehicle also when you get it apart to put in new battery's clean the internal contacts with metholated spirits and a cotton bud stick then dry them off .
( this will often fix a mobile phone thats faulty as
well and tv remotes)
metho does'nt hurt anything so dont let anyone tell you it does ,i've been using it for cleaning electronic contacts for many years and it 's cheap as
well

Peter
this may sound like a long way round but usually works out cheaper and also gives you an alarm,on a couple of cars now I have fitted a cheap remote entry alarm and got round the expense of a factoy remote.I would certainly try the battery first though.
Good luck
