Hi Folks...A strange question. I was talking to a bloke whose 2002 100 SERIES V8 Landcruiser engine is up for a rebuild as it has 400,000 on the clock. Now I am a basic mechanic but what he is thinking sounded a little bit out fo left field but he is thinking of ripping the petrol engine out and putting a turbo diesel in it. Has anyone heard of this happening before? Would be a little costly wouldn't it?

Probably not if he does the job himself.

If he buys a wrecked t/d from pickles.com and swaps everything, it will cost less than 10k, if he does it the other way, 15k +
