I have restricted the top hose to the govenor with a 32 thou jet and this works ok under short bursts of boost but fails on long gradual hills , I have been told to fit a mechanical govenor .... is this the go ....

What have you done?
My 60 2h had a turbo fitted, and the only thing that was done was a pair of cable ties around the hoses off the throttle body to hold them on and another pair at the pump... nothing further is required.

I installed an ARB turbo to a 75series (2h motor) Had to make a special key to undo the locknut on the fuel rack control (its a round nut with 3 holes in the face) About 3/4 turn out made the necessary fuel fuel boost . I think the 12ht pump had a constantly variable fuel boost via a diaphragm chamber.
