If you are using a inverter style generator and these inverters use the start up battery for power draw spikes, has anyone ever rewired/designed so that if the motor of the generator ain't running the inverter still supplies power from the battery and a larger battery is used.

Hi Crobar. Inverter style generators dont use 12V if they do it is only for the starter motor on elect start models. They generate about 380Volts AC which is rectified to about 380VoltDC then converted to 240Volt @ 50 cycles Sine wave or on realy cheep versions modified square wave.
