Kanga,
the only place I can help with is
Tjukayirla Roadhouse. On 6 Aug 09 there price was $1.70 per litre for diesel.
If you stop here you have to try a burger! These things are huge, fresh and really good value!!
Hope this helps,

We'll grab a burger at TJ, now I just got to finish painting the house,, pack and put a new engel power point in the car, my hella plug in there i've just noticed is playing up, I'll see if I can get a Clipsal 492 T plug and socket, cheers, Kanga1

This year I have paid $1.10 in SE Queensland and $3.20 in remote WA per litre for diesel.
If you want to travel you need the fuel, no matter what the price is.
BTW your Rig Pic is sideways

Thanks for your help and wonderful observation, I try not to
park it like that, if I knew how to rotate it or could be bothered to find out, I would, its easier for me to turn the computer on its side, :-)

Oh dear. Looks like you will have to be dragged screaming into the 21st Century...lol If your computer has a photo imaging program in it such as Arcsoft Photo Studio or Picasa or a plethroa of others, then your sideways pic is easily fixed.

It was mentioned here last week that the
Warburton price was $2.05 for diesel
The road also has its own website with fuel prices

Hi Kanga
Recently returned from that area. I have put my reply to your other question up on the other post. the prices below are what we paid in late August 2009.
Laverton $1.44.5 per litre
Tjukayirla $1.90 per litre
Warburton $2.05 per litre
Warakurna $2.00 per litre
Yulara $1.59.2 per litre
All prices above were for diesel only
There is a lot to see on the GCR, take it all in and have a good trip.
Cheers
Stephen

Thanks Stephen, I think we'll be stopping everywhere for drinks/dunnies etc, we get about 1100-1200kms before refuelling so its handy to have an idea on fuel costs to work out where to fuel up. Looking forward to the trip, cheers, Kanga1.....
