Afternoon All,
Some time not too far down the track, the 80 Series is due to go. I spend a fair bit of time trolling all the usual on-line car sales sites looking for the replacement and their is a fair range available.
Has anybody had experience with vehicle buying
services and any thoughts on whether this type of service is worthwhile? I quite like the idea of giving someone my 'specs' and letting them do the legwork for me to present a list of options.
Most, I understand, don't charge you a direct fee but they get that from the dealer. Of course you pay one way or the other, but these people claim that they can get a better deal and it also saves time on your part in finding the right vehicle.
Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Matt.

Matt
I have not had direct experience in this field being fortunate enough to have bought new vehicles over the last 20 years and at the end of the lease period let them go and upgraded for what I wanted at the time.
Some of these vehicles have had low kms and always serviced and in good condition and I always thought that the vehicle would be a good pickup for the right person.
I believe if you could find a vehicle buying service person who has good contacts with lease companies where you could find the right end of lease vehicle that you are looking for that comes from a city company executive with low kms, service records etc as you normally find that most of but not all have seldom been off road.
This would certainly save you a lot of leg work, get a
well priced vehicle in good condition and after all if they cannot find what satisfies you, then you have lost nothing.
I hope you find what you are looking for.
Regards
John

Thanks John, not sure whether I will get a new or second hand one at this stage. But some of the vehicle purchasing companies claim they can get a better deal on new or second hand.
I will lease the vehicle, but looking at one coming off a lease period is a good thought.
Cheers,
Matt.
