I've had two go's at this and the results have been ordinary, to say the least.
There must be an easier way to put one of these on so that they look smick, like they are intended to.
Down to my last sticker in custody, and if I stuff it up again, I'll have to buy something else from the Shop, to get another freebie.
Got the new windscreen fitted, so now gonna try for the sticker.
H E L P LOL LOL

It takes two, baby, yeah. It takes two.

Get another person to hold one end on their side of the windscreen, you hold the other, then stick it down from the centre and smooth it to the outer ends.

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

I tried that GB and all I got was a whole heap of fingerprints and milky patching under the sticker that stood out like a country outhouse, not to mention the old "Well do it ya self then" from SWMBO :-((

Hi Fred, Make up some dishwashing liquid in a small bucket with about half a litre of water, use about a quarter of a cup of the dishwashing stuff. Wipe it on the windscreen with a sponge and fit the sticker. The mixture allows you to slide the sticker into position and get any bubbles out.It eventually dries and you have a sticker in the right place and no folds or bubbles. Cheers. Snake & Josie

You can wet the glass and put the sticker on and slid it into place then use a squeegee to expel the water. That is how the boat stripe guys do boats.

Try using some soapy water
clean the area with the mild soapy water then , while wet , apply the sticker, this enables you to still move it around for perfect placement and iron out any creases with a flat edge / credit card etc.

when the water dries , the sticker will adhere in the correct spot.

This is the method used by most people applying vinyl decals & the like to most hard surfaces.

Good Luck

Fred,

Stickers from EO are free for Members so order as many as needed.

I usually have about 3 goes at putting them on the windscreen of Darkie so I have about 50 of them in my glovebox so I can hand them out if needed (hey Josh LOL)

Cheers Kev

Cheers Kev, I'm looking at another shirt, so I may have to stock up on the stickers at the same time.

Sir Kev

I'll take one off your hands at St George. Then I'll have all the experts on-hand to fit it. LOL

I used 2 to get it right. Still got a couple to go on the next car lol, thanks Kev and now after the photo comp I'll have a wheel cover, shirt and EO sand flag, just have to convince SWMBO to buy me the pole. Also if you do get a bubble in the sticker use a pin and prick it then push the air out.

Snake, Ian & Ruff, I'll give a go first thing in the morning.

The Triton got a cut & polish today, still gotta chase out all the red dirt inside, left over from our trip in May/June to the centre.

Thanks fellas.
