Hi all,
I have forgotten the way one can tell what version of OziExplorer I have .
Could someone please explain also what is the GPS setting I set for a Hema Navigator IE. the type of GPS as in the configuration OzieExplorer does not show the Hema Navigator?

I am reasonably conversant with this program as far as Garmin products go but Hema????
Thanks for any info.

Hi. With my version:
Launch Ozi Explorer; go to the 'Help' menu, scroll down to 'About', and there it is.

Hello - you can not "connect" a Hema Navigator (HN) to OziExplorer (on a PC). I dont have a Hema Navaigator but suspect the way to transfer data between the two is via windows explorer either to the SD card or internal memory (not sure if this is possible). Its the same with all devices that run OziExplorerCe - its not some shortcoming of the HN.

The Hema Navigator doesn't output any data that Ozi (running on a PC) can use to run. You can save your track files on the Navigator and then possibly use them by importing them into Ozi to show where you have been but cant use it for moving maps (But why would you want to?)

Mind you thats just from reading the specs on the Hema site.

You can save the Ozi files to the SD card in the Hema and use them in the PC

Hi Dodger,
When configurating Oziexplorer to a Hema use the "gps-nmea only" setting. I read it somewhere in the instructions to do this. However like others have said you cant transfer data direct to or from the Hema and Ozi explorer. Instead conect the gps to a usb drive on your pc/laptop. This opens up Mircosft active sync. Click on the explore button and this opens up all the files in the gps on windows explorer. Its then a simple matter to copy and paste files to or from where you have them saved on your computer to the Hema. This is how I do it on my Hema and it works a treat.
