Wondering what others are paying for Rego of their LC TD our renewal had just come (SA) $735/12 months seems to climbing up a bit. Also wondering how this compares to utes.

When we had our ute it was let than this and climbing, so chose a LC wagon hoping to reduce the cost a bit.

Oh yes, wouldn't change vehicles for anything. Great vehicle.

Would be great to get some constructive feedback thanks. :)

Russ,
Mine was $909 for 12 months paid last May (metropolitan area).
Traytops are more expensive - can't get out of the commercial vehicle rego even though many are not used commercially.

Ouch!

LC76 TD V8 Wagon in Melbourne was $593.80 this January.

You must be getting something that we don't (yeah?)

Is this just a sign of things to come for us in Victoria?

Yep - just did mine in SA for the same $ - if you look at the $ breakdown, it's about 2/6d for the rego and the rest is b$#@^%&*y third party insurance (oh - plus a decent $ levee for saving a number of politically expedient deserving causes) - I exaggerate of course, but rest assured - we are being screwed.

NSW

Total RTA (1+2)= $396

3. 3rd Party Insurance Premium = $266.99
4. GST = $26.70

So if we add all that up to get the full cost (1+2+3+4+5) = $775.13.

Which is nearly as surprising as the sun rising in the west 'cos its cheaper than SA.

What ever you do don't tell Nathan and his cronies or the next rego will be double the price.

Qld rego is based on number of cylinders and whether used for private of commercial use. It is unlike most the other states which base the rego on the type of vehicle. For example, a 4 cyl diesel LC is cheaper to register than the 6 cyl petrol.

Thanks for all your responses.

It looks like most of the Govt s are ripping us all off.

Wont stop us from enjoying the vehicle and our country.
