A massive task with all sorts of competing claims and counter claims.Take your time and do plenty of reseach and talk to owners of the types you have narrowed the search down to.There are some basic decisions to be made - firstly what is your budget allowing for the extras that inevitably seem to follow. Then soft floor ,hard floor etc.Build quality is paramaount in my opinion - the gloss of the show room soon fades when you are in the middle of no where and the elusive salesman is no where to be found!. I would be cautious when it comes to magazines - ever notice they never tell you about the bad bits? Why? Because they don't want to offend there advertisers. The same with car mags in my experience. Some of the manufacturers have web sites and forums and always talk to current owners. I hope you have a great time once you have sorted out what you want. One last point be very aware of GVM , ball loads and capability of the tow vehicle - the heavy hand of officialdom is watching closely I believe.

Hi 52m, don't be afraid to hire before you buy. Many versions of camper are available to hire. You don't have to try them all to get an idea of what you want, and what you don't need. Also - by hiring one out- you can see how they look after a bit of use and abuse, not just how they look when new and tarted up for the show room.doc.
