Waeco CF80

Howdy all.
I have a Waeco CF80 hard mounted in the back of my 105 Series.
All that aside I have lost the manuel on how to operate it.My Question is, with the 12volt connected, do I have to unplug it before I plug the 240Volt in.I beleive that the 240V does overide the 12v without damageing the fridge or the car. Can U Help.
Regards
Greg

My CF80 is 12/24 volt only . If you want to use 240v ,you need a transformer.Maybe the newer models have the 240v

On the other waecos tha thave the 240 volt plug in,it does override the 12 volt ,although they run on 12v all the time
I have run mine with both plugs in on my CF50

Like Ross, I run the CF50 and leave the 240 lead plugged in at the back of the fridge full time. Normally runs on the 12 volt but when I've got access to 240, I just plug it straight in at the back of the car. 240 will overide the 12 volt from the vehicle and there is no need to unplug the 12V lead.

Cheers Mick

Thanks Blokes.
Mick. in your reply, you mentioned that you leave the 240v in all the time.
Do you mean that you leave the 12v in all the time? and then when you can access 240v, it overides 12v. Sorry about the dumb questions, I burnt a few million brain cells last night.

They do have an override but in the interests of electrical safety you should defiantly unplug the 12/24V BEFORE plugging in the 240V - its the only way to ensure you don't get 240V up your vehicle electrics which would be a disaster!
