does anyone have any knowledge of taking a getabout saturn s1 on
canning stock route, gun barrell hwy etc.
planning on cruising for a 1 to2 years, so the comfort factor is being questioned.
Not sure if the
suspension etc can take the punishment. Any
views?
cheers rubi

Friends of ours had a saturn 2, No
suspension issues but heaps of dust inside
It has been sold now after less than 12 months as it was so bad.
Of course this is only one experience and its not even
mine
Cheers

At 5 metres long, over 2.2 metres wide & weighing in at 1.4+ tonnes it would be a difficult task depending alot on the experience of the driver, power of the tow vehicle & sand conditions at the time. Including all the extra fuel &
water you need for the Canning the load would put a huge strain on the
suspension.
Cheers Craig..

Rubi,
Canning I can see as a problem, and even the Simpson if its been dry, but as for Gun Barrell etc no problem. We tow a larger Jayco Eagle Outback and have just returned from
Gawler Ranges and
Goog's track, never needed reverse gear. We also did the
Anne Beadell Highway last year with no drama's
So 99% of the
places you shouldn't have a problem with right tyre pressures.

thanks for the reply. might have to rethink doing the canning...unless we stick to a proper offroad camper
