We started out from the
Hyden end in late July and pulled out after a day and a half of steady rain. Before the rain there were quite a few bogs, some you could bypass and others not. After
camping about 20k in we had steady rain all night and the next day. The bogs all joined up and it was very wet and slippery but we had no actual problems apart from getting sick of sliding into holes hidden underwater, a few deep enough to come over the bonnet.
When we reached the road that crosses about 60k in we decided we'd had enough of playing in the mud and
water as we were by ourselves and the bogholes were getting much longer and deeper and didn't fancy having to do any recovery. Driving on such wet tracks also doesn't do them any good either.
Depends on what the weather has done since, was raining for the rest of July and into august but would dry out when it stops I guess.

G'day Peter,
Had a senior's moment (LOL) in replying to Disco Driver ......... and not to you.
Thanks for your reply, we were on the track a few years ago and were almost rained in. Stayed on the teack until the
Marvel Loch road and then headed North, the track was very wet and the campsites we saw were close on being flooded. Unpleasant conditions and possible damagie to the track made the choice to leave an easy one.
Cheers,
Wayne & Sally.

Hi Wayne & Sally,
Check the road status (open/closed) with
Lake Grace Shire before you set off.
I think it is currently closed but a check as above will find out for sure.
Ignore any
road closed signs at your peril
Enjoy the trip.
Disco.
