I am looking at buying a Katadyn Vario
water filter but some people say it is unreliable others say it is the best
water filter on the market. Anyone had experience using this filter or other Katydyn filters? Which model is most reliable? What are MSR filters like and how do they compare with Katadyn?

I have used a Katadyn both in Aus & OS for a couple of years and I haven't been crook yet.
I have the one like a bike pump which has a ceramic and activated carbon filters.
I would recommend them as they can sort out some pretty ordinary
water.

Everpure and they ship to Australia by air cheap-cheap. Use them all the time for replacement filters and anodes etc. Half price to buying in Aus
