For those attending the Gathering in St George please be prepared for a Fire Ban to be in place :(

The local shire (Balonne Shire) is not yet listed as one of the many that will be on a Fire Ban from Midnight tonight till it is reviewed on Friday morning. The neighbouring shires to the north and East are though so it is possible for St George to be in a Fire Ban zone.

Therefore be prepared to be able to survive without a campfire, just in case.

Cheers Kev

Not quite correct. Local fire bans allow the use of gas BBQs.

see here: http://www.ruralfire.qld.gov.au/Fire Ban Information.asp

Now they have put out a "severe weather warning" 90 KPH winds might have to find a nice clear paddock to pull up into to night, probably my last post till St George see you all there.

Hope every one is prepared for rain, we are coming.
It always happens the last few days before we head home, for the last four trips.
