Prestige 40 (No tint) is the best

Tinting isn't the best for keeping car cool , these days 3m make films that sequential bend the light in small increments and reject the wavelengths that contribute to heat with little light attenuation.

Earlier technology that is flogged a lot these days uses fine metal particles which works ok but reduce radio / GPS signals inside the car.
THis is the stuff you see most advertized.

You can get the films with an additional dye color as well.

Robin,
I noted in the url link you posted that Prestige also blocks 99.9% of UV. As someone who's had a few skin cancers removed, I reckon that's an additional benefit (certainly would be for me).

Simple. Go to a reputable window tinter and ask advice. They will probably give you the choice of 1 or 2. Ask them to explain the difference and why one is better than the other, You shouldn't have to pay more than $250 - $300 Make sure you avoid installing anything that they consider is not legal. If you put one one that is too dark you run the risk of having your vehicle defected as unroadworthy plus such tints make it extremely difficult for night driving. Stay legal.

Tinting on side windows makes reversing by mirrors difficult at night.
I now have to wind the driver's window down to see anything being illuminated by the reverse lights.

An unexpected hassle of Wifey adding 'window tinting' to the order on a new car.

She likes it though - happy wife etc.

cheers
