been to Airlie beach a few years ago and did the backpacker sailing.
It was good at that time but now I'm a bit older and I'd like to go again sailing but not on the party boats. I'm still not any richer :D so can't do any of those fancy cruises either.

Any tips of companies targeting a 30-40's crowd with a budget?

Hey

We did a bare boat charter up there over December and it was awesome. Not sure about your budged but for around $3000 you can sail for a week and do your own thing

I did the same thing, yacht had 4 bedrooms, we where all single, so we fitted 5 on board as I sleeped on the deck. Cost us about $500 -$550 each including fuel.
You don't have to know how to sail as they give you a crash coarse if needed and you can just motor around anyway, But it's alot more fun if you can find someone who can sail.
